Microsoft is all set to announce the next generation of Windows on 24th June 2021

Microsoft is soon likely to launch a Windows event on 24th June, and the company has been sending out invites for it. It is expected that in the event, Microsoft will be coming up with its next generation of Windows. After a week of Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella’s post, the invite came out that revealed a teaser related to the future of the Windows operating system. Nadella did so at the keynote, addressed during the 2021 Build developer conference.

Next Generation of Windows

Hinting over a new updated, Nadella addressed the media, saying that soon Microsoft will be sharing one of the most prominent Windows updates of the past decade to unlock all the more substantial economic opportunities for various developers and creators. From his announcement, the launch of the latest Windows version is highly anticipated by the crowd. It is undoubtedly the most dominating operating system in the entire world, and it’s time for its developers to bring a major overhaul to it.

Reports state that Microsoft is working on the big project internally while borrowing models from the current Windows 10 interface. The brand new interface will be better known as “Sun Valley.” In addition, the company has also hinted that a vast UI refresh is most likely to be launched during the 2021 Holiday season. The Sun Valley project will be a big plus point, enhancing Windows 10 by giving it a brand new look with the advent of a fresh start menu, icons, app designs, sound, and exciting fluid animations. In addition, the Windows App Store might also undergo a significant revamp.

Previously, the Redmond-based software bunch was working on Windows 10X, which is nothing but a non-complicated and lightweight operating system explicitly meant for Chrome OS. The futuristic tech Surface Neo was to fit in as the prime device for Windows 10X. However, Microsoft decided to stop working on the operating system, ultimately scrapping the whole project within a few months.

Last month, Microsoft announced a new update for Windows 10, which brought minor changes in the user interface. However, the big Microsoft event will bring in various kinds of changes, and to create the buzz, Microsoft has decided to stream the event live for consumers. The event will begin at 11 AM ET on  24th of June, 2021. ‘The Verge’ has confirmed that Microsoft’s Chief Product Manager, Satya Nadella and PanosPaney will be available during the entire event.
